Cars N Such (CNS) initially formed by three individuals – Lex, Sam and Alston – a group of car enthusiasts who wanted to work on their own vehicles out of passion. However, with the support of the FDCLUBSG, their mission shifted towards giving back to the community. They started reselling aftermarket parts, providing value to those scrapping their modified Civics and offering affordable options for fellow Civic drivers to continue modifying their cars.

In 2019, Alston’s Honda Civic 1.8 Auto FD1 was totaled in an unfortunate rear-end collision by a pick-up truck. Alongside Sam, a close friend who also drove a FD1, they salvaged most of the modified parts and accessories from the damaged car. Alston then acquired a Honda Civic 2.0 FD2 Manual with a K20 engine, renewing it with the intention of converting it into a FD2R.

During this time, Lex’s modified DC5R had reached the end of its renewal period and was due for scrap. Alston purchased Lex’s DC5R and all three of them brought their car modifications to the next level. Together, they successfully completed the conversion of the FD2M into an FD2R Spec.

Today, CNS focuses on salvaging used modified parts and accessories, as well as utilising both used and new aftermarket performance parts for car modifications. Their original project FD2M (now driven by Lex), also serves as a platform for them to test new products. CNS serves as a second home for car enthusiasts, fostering a sense of community and providing a space for like-minded individuals to connect. Leveraging their experience, CNS offers advice and guidance to fellow car enthusiasts, helping them achieve their dream cars and desired outcomes. Lex’s FD2M SI:

Lex’s FD2M SI is equipped with a complete original FD2R body kit and undercarriage, giving it an aggressive and sporty look. It rides on BCBR coil-overs, ensuring optimal suspension performance for enhanced handling. The Advan RS wheels and Michelin PS4 tires provide excellent grip and stability on the road. Inside, Lex enjoys the comfort and control of a MOMO Tuner steering wheel and Recaro SR4 seats that came from his old DC5R, giving him a sense of familiarity. The Acuity shifter adds precision to gear changes, while Seeker wiper blades keep the windshield clear in all weather conditions.

Sam’s FD2R:

Sam’s FD2R stands out with HKS Hipermax S coil-overs, offering a perfect balance of comfort and performance. The Bridgestone RE71RS tires provide exceptional traction and responsiveness, complemented by the stylish Advan RZ wheels. Sam enjoys the grip and control of the Seeker steering wheel during spirited drives. The VOLT’D CF spoiler centre piece adds a touch of aerodynamic flair, while the Acuity shifter ensures smooth gear shifts. Seeker wiper blades keep the windshield clean and clear, even in heavy rain.

Alston’s FD2R:

Alston’s FD2R is sporting an OEM+ look with minimum mods. It is fitted with iconic CE28 wheels, known for their lightweight construction and strength. The Bridgestone RE004 tires offer a blend of performance and durability, allowing him to push his car to the limit. The Toda exhaust system enhances the engine’s sound and performance, giving the FD2R a distinctive and aggressive tone on the road.
