From the heart of Singapore to 240km away in Malacca, a group of compassionate individuals from AGI Breakfast Drive led by CEO Mr Alexis Chua, embarked on a journey that would touch their souls and the lives of those they were destined to meet, a mission that would bridge the gap between two communities. Their destination: an orphanage in Malacca known as Pusat Kanak-Kanak Terencat Akal Bahagia (Happiness Centre in English), founded by the kind-hearted Mr Roy Collar.

As the sun began to cast its gentle rays upon the city, members of the drive crossed the border into Malaysia, leaving behind the familiar skyline of Singapore. Their hearts brimmed with anticipation and their spirits were high, for they knew that their day held the promise of making a difference in the world. Before reaching the orphanage, the group made a ritual stop at White Town Coffee over breakfast and stories, bonding over their shared purpose.

With their bellies full and their hearts even fuller, they headed to a nearby EconSave supermarket to purchase essentials for the orphanage. Carts were filled with bags of diapers, detergents, toiletries, more daily necessities, and even KFC lunch. The thought of faces lighting up at the sight of these gifts filled the group with an overwhelming sense of joy.

The time had finally come to reach the orphanage, and as they arrived, the Happiness Centre stood before them, a haven of hope in a world that had often been unkind to its young inhabitants. This sanctuary was open to all in need, a place of solace for these pure souls. As they stepped inside, the children greeted them with wide eyes and warm smiles, a reflection of the love and care they had found within these walls. AGI members handed over their gifts, their hearts bursting with emotions as they witnessed the children’s delight. It was a moment that would stay with them forever, a tribute to the power of kindness and the difference it could make in the world.

AGI breakfast charity drive had not only crossed borders but also crossed the boundaries of their own hearts. In the Happiness Centre, they had found the true meaning of selflessness, for in giving, they received the greatest gift of all – the overwhelming feeling of love and gratitude that transcended the barriers of language and circumstance. To all those who have touched lives, they had found their own happiness too.
